Every Turtle in 2024 will both

1. Join a work shift team

2. Sign up for party and event shifts

“Work shifts” are for things like cooking, cleaning, and camp maintenance. We have attempted to size each of these teams so that each person will have about 12 hours of work throughout the week to do, but it’s not an exact science.

“Event shifts” are for things like bartending, DJing, greeting, and otherwise staffing our interactive offerings.

You have to do both!

Work Shift Teams

The Food Team

Lead: Benny
Team members: 20 (including lead)

Prepares meals throughout the week and maintains the food fort. Provides snacks for hungry campers between meals. If you are signed up as a chef for one of the meals, this is your team! But even if you can’t cook but want to help prep and clean in the kitchen, you can be a part of the team.

Dining Tent

Lead: Jeremy
Team members: 5 (including lead)

Responsible for keeping the dining area organized and clean throughout the event. Serves meals and cleans the dining area before and after each meal. Organizes food-related trash and composting.

Drinks

Lead: Efendi
Team members: 4 (including lead)

Keeps a supply of ice water and electrolyte drinks available for campers 24/7, and cold brew coffee in the morning. Stocks the public bar and plans alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for our events. Keeps the bars clean and organized and stocks ice.

Gayflower

Lead: Jihoon
Team members: 4 (including lead)

Keeps the Gayflower clean, including daily sanitizing of shower and toilets.

Public LNT

Lead: Animus
Team members: 4 (including lead)

Keeps the public area of the camp clean with a daily moop sweep. Keeps the entire pillow fort area clean, tidies up cushions, and changes sheets regularly.

Infrastructure

Lead: Jetpack
Team members: 5 (including lead)

Maintain the generator / power grid, fresh and grey water systems. Daily generator maintenance, water level tracking, fresh & grey water pumping as necessary.
