2026 Dispositions

Some of the things we have and where they should go in 2026. 

Philosophical Changes:

  • Things are stored based on where they are deployed on playa
  • Totes with lids should only be used for things where you use everything in the tote at the same time, for example, when it's a bunch of gear that is associated with setting up one thing during build and you completely empty it.
  • When you have a bunch of random parts and you might just need one on playa, for example, extension cords, use milk crates or tool chest drawers because it is much easier to grab one item and take it out when you don't have to deal with the tote lid.

Big Observations:

  • Shiftpods move from Tool Fort to Habitat
  • Need a place for big bulky stuff from Empire Fort that is NOT habitat. Maybe back of Tool Fort
    • tables
    • camper cubbies
    • ladders
    • trash cans
  • A lot of the stuff in TOTES in the tool fort is a pain to get out and should be sorted better into drawers or something. The biggest problem is the tote lid. Moving these into milk crates would probably solve the problem.
